The Olive Tree is an exclusive stone house built in the traditional Venetian style and constructed to the latest strict building regulations by experienced Kefalonian craftsmen using local stone. We sited the house to take advantage of the cooling breezes that were once used to winnow the crops once grown on the terraces below.
Situated on the Erisos peninsula at the northern end of the island, amid the wooded countryside and only twenty minutes stroll from the nearest beach and taverna, the house benefits greatly from its ‘off the beaten track’ location.
Built on two levels, the ground floor, with its kitchen/diner, lounge area, three air conditioned bedrooms and two bathrooms, is available for up to six guests. The upper floor is unoccupied during the summer months giving you complete privacy.
The large living/dining area contains a well-equipped kitchen, which has a full-size cooker/hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The dining table in this spacious area is large enough to seat six or more people.
The
large living area, with its cool limestone walls, is furnished with
comfortable sofas enough for more than six, and great for escaping into
during
the heat of the day. There's a TV, DVD and Video and a large selection of films, a CD
player (bring your own CDs), books and
games for you to
enjoy. Doors lead out to the patio area where you can also sit and drink a cold beer or glass of wine
while enjoying the views to Assos and beyond or watching the children as they
enjoy a cooling break in the large pool.
All three bedrooms have remote controlled air conditioning, and all
rooms have their own ceiling fans and louvered shutters for superb
cooling during the hottest periods.
